My name is Douglas Lee. I am the Director of Technology and Computer Science Teacher at an international school in Dallas, Texas -.Dallas International School. These are new and familiar roles as the approaching 2014-15 school year begins in August. The idea of the title of Teacher seems strange to me. Not that the term Instructor is any better, but I think I prefer the terms Educator or Mentor to be more acceptable.

I am an Engineer by training. I hold Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering having graduated from Western University in Canada. My heart is in engineering and I specialized in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence during my graduate studies back in the days when the Internet was still in its infancy when wide area networks were confined to higher educational institutions and large corporations - I do not recall if we even referred to it as the "Internet" back then. I have 20 years of industry experience in Engineering, Software Development, Database administration, System and Network Engineering under my belt and held positions as an engineer, software developer and team leader in addition to having authored several research publications.
